Tony Roma’s FUN-Raises for Kids to Support Red Nose Day

Fans are invited to Get Their “Rib Face” and Red Nose on at Tony Roma’s to improve the lives of children in need

Orlando, Fla. – May 19, 2017 – Romacorp Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s, invites their fans to support Red Nose Day on May 25th, a day dedicated to raising money for children in need to benefit programs that ensure they are safe, healthy and educated. For the third year in a row, Tony Roma’s will donate $1 for every full rack of their world-famous Baby Back Ribs sold on May 25th at restaurants in the U.S. to Red Nose Day charities. Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign of Comic Relief, Inc., bringing people together to have fun, raise money, and change the lives of children who need our help the most. Fans are urged to go to www.rednoseday.org to learn more about the fundraising efforts, and to watch the Red Nose Day Special on NBC starting at 8pm on Thursday May 25th.

“Families are the core of our business, and children from communities in the U.S. and around the world enjoy the one-of-a-kind Tony Roma’s experience in our restaurants every day, so we are excited to support this wonderful cause,” said Jim Rogers, Chief Marketing Officer for Romacorp, Inc. “What better way to support Red Nose Day than by getting your Red Nose on at Tony Roma’s, sinking your teeth into our world-famous ribs, and watching the Red Nose Day Special.  The best part is, if you get BBQ sauce on your nose, everyone will think you’re doing it to support children around the world!”

Having served families for more than 45 years, it’s no secret that the Tony Roma’s brand revolves around family. With more than 150 restaurant locations in more than 30 countries, Tony Roma’s chooses to use its global presence to make a difference around the world while giving back to each community its restaurants are located in. “Our fans are the reason we are the largest casual dining concept specializing in ribs, so we never pass up an opportunity to put a smile on their faces by giving them the chance to enjoy their favorite ribs while making the world a better place,” said Rogers.

Red Nose Day is celebrated through fun and laughter to raise money for children living in poverty in the U.S. and around the world. The charity effort began more than 30 years ago in the United Kingdom, and Thursday, May 25th, 2017 marks the initiative’s third year in the United States. In the past 25 years, Red Nose Day has raised more than $1 billion globally.
