Tony Roma’s Continues Strong Growth in Malaysia

New location in Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is 11^th Tony Roma’s in Malaysia

ORLANDO, Fla. – May 19, 2016 – Romacorp, Inc., parent company of Tony Roma’s, announces the opening of its newest restaurant, located in the historic Malaysian city of Melaka. This is the 11^th restaurant in Malaysia for Romacorp’s franchisee, Grand Companions Sdn Bhd, which opened its first Tony Roma’s in 2006 at Sunway Pyramid in Selangor, Malaysia.  Grand Companions Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd.

The new Tony Roma’s restaurant is located at Mahkota Parade, the city’s premier shopping center in the heart of Melaka’s historic sites and commercial business center.  The restaurant is 4,326 square feet, seats nearly 150 guests, has two TVs, and has covered outdoor seating for guests to relax and enjoy the weather.  The restaurant is near notable historical sites including A’Famosa Fort, St. Paul’s Church, the Stadthuys, and the Melaka Sultanate Palace, making it the perfect place to take a break from sightseeing with family and friends.
