Tony Roma’s Plans Accelerated Growth in Mexico
Iconic restaurant signs agreement to bring new restaurants to the Yucatan and Mexico City
Orlando, Florida – April 02, 2015
Romacorp Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s and TR Fire Grill, announces they have signed a new development agreement for the Tony Roma’s brand to bring an additional five restaurants to Mexico. As part of the agreement, franchisee partner Desarollo De Franquicias Industriales, which currently operates the Tony Roma’s in Merida Mexico, will develop two new locations in the Yucatan Peninsula and three additional locations in Mexico City.
“We’re excited to build upon an already successful business relationship with our franchise partner Daniel Reisman and extend our reach even further throughout Mexico,” said Ken Myres, President of Romacorp, Inc. “Our existing Mexican locations are very popular, and we believe these new restaurants will see great success, allowing more guests to enjoy the world-famous Tony Roma’s experience.”
There are currently five Tony Roma’s restaurants in Mexico, located in Merida, San Luis Potosi, Torreon, Queretaro and the Polanco area of Mexico City. Development of the new restaurants will begin with two locations in the Yucatan Peninsula and follow with three locations in Mexico City.
